Our process is simple, allowing you to go from delivery to a finished structure in as little as a day. Our high-grade materials create spaces that are ready to use immediately, cutting out the cost and complexity of traditional construction.
The Hideaway Process
We have developed a simple. comprehensive process to ensure that creating your retreat is as peaceful as the space itself, guiding you from the initial order to the final finishing touches.
Timeline & Delivery:
Once you place your order, your kit arrives within 8 to 12 weeks, featuring high-grade, pre-cut components that fit together with the precision of Lincoln Logs. Hideaway will coordinate the delivery to your site, and the materials will be offloaded as close as possible to your building site. The materials will be protected from the weather and should remain as such until you are ready to begin building your dream haven.
The Details:
As part of your initial contract, your design consultant will get acquainted with your vision for your space and help you plan any additional items that may help round out your project. Many customers do nothing but paint or stain it and move in their furniture while others may wish to add rigid insulation to the floor or roof, add solar systems or electricity, etc. The great thing is your kit, once assembled, is ready for use. You can start using it the moment you put on your last roof piece. Everything after that moment is up to your dreams and vision.
Site Prep:
Hideaway Kits (manufactured by Sawmill Structures) are precision-cut and engineered to fit together like linking blocks. Clear instructions, thoughtful design, and real support make the building process not only possible but rewarding. Because every window, door, and floorboard is precisely machined, many structures can be fully assembled by hand in as little as a day. Every unit has a Difficulty Scale Rating so you can determine if this is something you want to take on with a group of friends. If you prefer it to be done for you, we offer professional installation! Either way, we will be here for you even by phone even on the weekends.
The Finishing Touches:
Make the space truly yours by adding a personal stain coat or paint and tailoring the interior to your needs. If we handle your installation, a professional metal roof (many colors to choose from) is included to complete your haven.
Our recommended paints, stains, floor coverings, etc/ will be included in a package along with your installation instruction manual, hardware, and materials when your kit is delivered.
